TWTW: A Very Charming Weekend
The theme of tranquilo weekends on the bike from our recent TWTW’s continued once again this past week. While part of the squad headed to Baltimore, Maryland for Charm City Cyclocross most of the team stayed local and snuck in some relaxed base miles despite some slightly less than ideal weather.
The Week That Was (TWTW) On the Bike
While there was one last stretch of skinny tire racing in New York City, most of the action to be had on the bike this weekend was a bit further South where the team was racing at Charm City Cyclocross in Baltimore. While it can be a bit of a drive for the New England crew, Charm City remains one of our favorite race weekends of the fall. If nothing else their giant stairs remain something to be seen. With big fields and tough competition there weren’t any podiums to be had for the squad but the team still managed a successful weekend with Steve leading the charge home on Saturday and Clay doing the same on Sunday (Charm City Cyclocross Results).
Outside of the races it was another pretty calm weekend on the bike punctuated by the usual weekend trips across the GWB to 9W. The weather was less than ideal as a wave of humidity landed on the City for the weekend but it did make for a pretty backdrop for the weekend. We’ll have more from a moist few days on 9W in a Weekend Roll later this week.
